All Raid Bosses in Palworld 1.0 and How to Beat Them

Raid bosses are the toughest summonable fights in Palworld 1.0, and they are the best farm for endgame crafting materials. There are eleven raid encounters once you count the Ultra versions, each with its own element, counter, and rewards. This guide lists them all, shows you how to summon them, and gives you the counter for every fight.

Quick Answer

Palworld 1.0 has 11 raid boss encounters (base bosses plus their Ultra versions). You summon them at a Summoning Altar (unlocked at Tech Level 33) using slab fragments you farm from dungeon chests and expeditions. Each raid runs on a 10-minute timer, and every kill drops Ancient Civilization Cores at a 100% rate, which makes raids the top material farm. You cannot catch raid bosses, but most drop an egg that hatches into your own version.

How Raids Work

  1. Farm slab fragments from high-level dungeon chests and expeditions. Each boss needs four fragments.
  2. Combine the fragments into a slab at a workbench.
  3. Build a Summoning Altar (Tech Level 33, costs 100 Stone and 20 Paldium Fragments).
  4. Place the slab and start the raid. You have 10 minutes.
  5. Beat it for guaranteed Ancient Civilization Cores and, for most bosses, an egg.

You cannot capture a raid boss during the fight. The egg reward is how you get your own copy.

How to Beat Each Raid Boss

Bellanoir (Dark, Level 30)

The entry raid. A straight Dark fight with no phase tricks. Bring Dragon Pals like Astegon and burn it down. Good place to learn the raid rhythm before Libero.

Bellanoir Libero (Dark to Ice, Level 50)

The two-phase version. Starts Dark (counter with Dragon), then at 1 HP it fires an all-directions Ice freeze, heals about a third, and turns Ice. Dragon still lands, but a Fire Pal like Jormuntide Ignis clears the Ice phase faster. Full walkthrough in our Bellanoir Libero guide.

Blazamut Ryu (Fire/Dragon, Level 55)

A fiery dragon that shifts its damage toward Electric as the fight goes on. Electric is the counter, so Azurmane and similar Electric attackers work well. Stay mobile to avoid its heavy fire attacks.

Xenolord (Dragon/Dark, Level 65)

The highest-HP raid in the game. Weak to Ice, and Frostallion is the standout counter (Ice damage, flies, resists Dragon). The Ultra version jumps to Level 80 with nearly two million HP. See our Xenolord guide.

Hartalis (Water/Grass to Neutral, Level 65)

A two-phase fight. It starts Water/Grass, so Electric counters the first bar well (Orserk is a strong pick). When you empty that bar it heals to full and reverts to its core Neutral type. Neutral is weak to Dark, so swap to a Dark Pal like Shadowbeak or Necromus for phase 2. Bring both elements and watch its heavy area attacks.

Moon Lord (Crossover event, Level 50 and Master 65)

A limited crossover boss rather than a standard Pal. It has no reliable element weakness, so bring a multi-element team and lean on your strongest attackers. Treat its rewards as special event loot and check in-game event details, since it behaves differently from the regular roster.

Best Farm Target

For steady Ancient Civilization Cores, pick the highest-level raid you can clear comfortably inside the timer and run it on repeat. Bellanoir Libero is a popular farm once you can handle the Ice phase, since it is reachable at Level 50 and drops Cores every time. Save Xenolord for when your damage can chew through 1.3 million HP.

Tip: run expeditions in the background while you farm raids. Both drop Cores, so you stack materials from two sources at once.
