How to Beat Bellanoir Libero in Palworld 1.0 (Raid Boss)

Bellanoir Libero is the tougher, endgame version of the Bellanoir raid boss, and it catches a lot of players out with a mid-fight element swap. Bring the wrong team and you will do great damage right up until it heals and flips its type on you. This guide covers how to summon it, the two phases, the Pals that counter each one, and what you get for winning.

Quick Answer

Bellanoir Libero is a Dark-type raid boss with 450,000 HP, built for Level 50+ players on a 10-minute timer. You summon it with four Bellanoir Libero Slab Fragments from high-level dungeon chests, combined into a slab and placed on a Summoning Altar (unlocked at Tech Level 33). The trick is the two phases: it starts Dark (counter with Dragon), then at 1 HP it turns Ice and heals, so you need a Fire answer ready too. You cannot catch it during the fight.

How to Summon Bellanoir Libero

  1. Collect four Bellanoir Libero Slab Fragments from high-level dungeon chests.
  2. Combine them into a slab at a workbench.
  3. Build a Summoning Altar if you have not already. It unlocks at Tech Level 33 and costs 100 Stone and 20 Paldium Fragments.
  4. Place the slab on the altar and interact to start the raid.

Note the difference between the two versions: regular Bellanoir is a weaker Level 30 boss summoned with different fragments. Bellanoir Libero is the Level 50 endgame raid. Make sure you are farming the Libero fragments if this is the fight you want.

The Two Phases (This Is the Whole Fight)

Bellanoir Libero changes type partway through, and beating it comes down to being ready for the swap.

Phase 1: Dark. For most of the fight it is a Dark type. Counter it with Dragon Pals like Astegon. Deal your damage, dodge its Dark attacks, and grind the health bar down.

Phase 2: Ice. Here is the catch. When you drop Bellanoir Libero to 1 HP, it does not die. Instead it fires an Ice blast in all directions that can freeze anyone caught in it, then heals back about a third of its health and becomes an Ice type for the rest of the fight. Your Dragon damage still lands fine (it does not pick up new Ice skills), so a Dragon team can finish the job. But Fire Pals like Jormuntide Ignis are the stronger answer against the Ice phase, so bring one if you have it.

Tip: watch the health bar as it nears the bottom in phase 1. When it is about to hit 1 HP, back off a step so the all-directions Ice blast does not freeze you, then move in with your Fire Pal once it transforms.

Best Team for Bellanoir Libero

  • Mount: Chillet, which infuses Dragon damage and keeps you mobile.
  • Support: Gobfin for an attack boost.
  • Damage Pals: Astegon for the Dark phase, Jormuntide Ignis for the Ice phase.
  • Base defenders (if soloing the summon): Jetragon, Quivern, and Orserk help hold the line.

You do not need a perfect roster. Dragon carries most of the fight, but having a Fire Pal ready for the Ice phase makes the back half much faster. The most common reason players struggle is panicking at the 1 HP freeze, so know it is coming.

Tip: raids have a strict 10-minute timer, and in co-op a laggy connection can cost you the clock on a boss you were about to beat. If your online play stutters, a connection tool like GearUP can steady it. Solo players on a stable game do not need it.

How to Beat Bellanoir Libero Step by Step

  1. Summon it at the altar with your slab.
  2. Open with your Dragon damage in phase 1. Keep moving to dodge its Dark attacks.
  3. As its health nears the floor, expect the 1 HP Ice blast. Give it space so you are not frozen.
  4. After it heals and turns Ice, switch to your Fire Pal and burn it down.
  5. Keep an eye on the timer and heal when you get a gap.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Getting surprised by the swap. A pure Dragon team can still win, but a Fire Pal makes the Ice phase much quicker. Either way, know the transformation is coming.
  • Standing in the transformation. The 1 HP Ice blast hits all around the boss. Step out before it fires.
  • Under-levelling. At below Level 50 your damage is too slow for the 10-minute timer.

Rewards

Beating Bellanoir Libero drops a Huge Dark Egg (for the raid initiator), which hatches into a Bellanoir Libero of your own when incubated. You also collect Ancient Civilization Cores, making this a strong farm for late-game crafting materials.
