Legendary Pals are the strongest catches in the game, marked by the exclusive Legend passive skill. There are seven of them in Palworld 1.0, and most are field Alpha bosses you can catch if you come prepared. This guide lists where each one is, what level it is, and how to catch it.
Quick Answer
There are seven legendary Pals in Palworld 1.0. Most are field Alpha bosses you catch in the wild: Jetragon (Level 70), Frostallion, Paladius, Necromus, and Neptilius (all around Level 60). Frostallion Noct comes from breeding, and Panthalus is caught during its final-boss questline. Bring high-tier spheres and a counter-element team, and remember Alphas respawn daily.

Where to Find Each Legendary
Jetragon (Dragon, Level 70)
The fastest mount in the game and a top attacker. In 1.0 it moved to the Sunreach Sky Islands at around -553, -1332 and is now Level 70. Bring an Ice or Dragon team and high-tier spheres.
Frostallion (Ice, Level 60)
Found in the Astral Mountains at -357, 508. A flying Ice legendary that hard-counters Dragon bosses like Xenolord, so it earns its slot for both travel and combat.
Paladius and Necromus (Level 60)
Both spawn in the Desiccated Desert around 446, 681. Paladius is the defensive Neutral legendary and Necromus is the aggressive Dark one with a double-jump. Great ground mounts and fighters.
Neptilius (Water, Level 60)
A 1.0 addition, found at the Sealed Realm of the Frozen Wings (around 139, 651) on the Isle of the Glacial Core. The fastest swimming mount in the game.
Frostallion Noct (Dark)
The reliable way to get it is breeding Frostallion with Helzephyr and hatching the egg. Some 1.0 guides also report it as an Alpha at the No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary, but the game files still list it as breeding-only, so breeding is the sure route.
Panthalus (Water, Level 70)
The seventh legendary, and the odd one out. You do not fight it as a field boss, you catch it during its final-boss questline. Full walkthrough in our How to Beat Panthalus guide.
How to Catch a Legendary
- Bring high-tier spheres (Legendary or Ultra Spheres). Alphas have high catch resistance.
- Weaken it and apply a status. Low HP plus a stun, freeze, or sleep gives the best catch rate.
- Counter its element. It shortens the fight so you get to the catch window faster.
- They respawn daily, so if you fail or want a second copy, come back the next in-game day.
Tip: equip the Ring of Mercy so your own attacks cannot drop the Alpha below 1 HP while you weaken it. Just watch out for Poison or Burn, which can still finish it off. See our Best Weapons guide for catching gear.
